| APPLES |
|
Apple picking is a great way to spend a fall
day with your friends and family. It's fun for
all ages, from toddlers to seniors. We grow
5 apple varieties and their
ripening times are listed below.
We planted our first 100 apple trees in 1996.
Since then we have planted 900 additional trees
and now have 1000 dwarf trees of varieties ranging
from Honey Crisp, which ripens in early September,
to Golden Delicious which ripens in early October.
In between there are Gala's, Cortlands, and
Jonagolds.

| PUMPKINS |
|
Turn your fall pumpkin picking into a family
event at Prairie Sky Orchard. For the authentic
pumpkin selecting experience, we
offer "pick-your-own" right from the
patch. For the less adventurous we also offer
pre-picked pumpkins available in many sizes.
We have giant pumpkins, jack-o-lanterns, pie
pumpkins, white pumpkins, cinderella pumpkins,
and even pumpkins with a bluish/slate color.
We also have an interesting variety of gourds
and squash.
Our pumpkin picking season starts the last
weekend in September and goes through the end
of October.
So grab a wagon and start picking! |
